My Sockless Gym Trip

Hello all.  Yes, I got a little carried away with my scrabble artwork this week.  I created so many different words because I was obsessed with how they turned out 🙂

Oh boy was yesterday busy!!!

I worked as usual in the morning and then tried to run a billion and two errands at lunch.  I probably looked like a crazy lady running through all the stores but I was trying to get as much done as possible on my lunch break.  I made it to Michael’s, Best Buy, Goodwill, Target, Hobby Lobby and grabbed some food.  I think that’s a new world record.

After the second half of work I hit up the ol’ gym for Day 66 – Chest, Abs, Shoulders & Sprints.  The workout overall was…interesting….because I FORGOT SOCKS.   Ugh! I hate the feeling of shoes without socks.  My only option was to wear my big puffy blue socks I had under my boots (which looked like a shaggy dog) or go sock-less.  I decided to go sock-less.  I can’t believe I got through an hour and a half workout without socks on..and that’s including a half hour of sprints!  Does anyone have a shoe sanitizer? I think I need one pronto!

The most awkward workout for me in this day was the one-arm overhead kettleball squats.  Even the guy in the diagram looks like he’s about to fall over.

For the cardio portion, I did 20 minutes on the treadmill at 8-9mph…mostly around 8.3.  I then switched it up and did the last 10 minutes on the elliptical. Sprints are funny on the elliptical.  I feel like that crazy Target Lady from the Christmas commercials.

In total, I was at the gym for about an hour and a half and burned 812 calories.

After the gym, I continued to run around like a madwoman trying to get things done.  I went and got my oil changed.  Actually..I thought I was only going in for an oil change but the dude convinced me to drop $160 on other things.  Oh well…I think my car needed some love before winter.  I always say no to any options at the car place, but for some reason, yesterday I was just saying sure to everything.  My car now smells like Christmas trees so that’s a plus!

Then I hit up the liquor store to get trashed my dad some wine and cvs to pick up pictures that I had them develop.  I remember the day that I would get my disposable camera developed and getting your pictures back and opening that envelope was just so exciting!!!!  I remember obsessing about how a picture of me and my high school crush would turn out for a week before I finished the camera and had it developed.  Aww I miss those days!

Then I made another scrabble art picture frame for another family member. Apparently this year I’m having Crafty Christmas 2011.  I never do crafts for presents.  I’ll blame Pinterest.

  1. I’m only on day like… 9 and I cannot IMAGINE what day 66 feels like. I’m also realizing I’m not going to be able to do those days over my lunchbreak anymore since they take almost 90 min. Waahhhh.

    I’ve forgotten socks many times and now I have no less than 2 extra pairs of socks and an extra sports bra at all times.

    • I didn’t know you were doing the trainer too?! That’s exciting. The workouts do get much longer. I used to do them on my lunch break too.

      Last night I packed my gym bag and packed 3 complete outfits (socks and all). I never want to forget socks again!

    Oh I cannot believe you made it through a workout without socks.. ewieeeeee. you are a better person than me, I would have thrown in the towel and gone home haha.
