5-6-8 Cardio Workout

This has been one of my favorite treadmill workouts yet! I was dripping with sweat when I got done 🙂

Unlike most of my other cardio workouts, this one doesn’t consist of any walking (except for warm up and cool down).  This is a 31 minute cardio session and kept my mind occupied the whole time.  I love switching up speeds because, in my opinion, it makes the time go by faster.

This is my 5-8-6-8 cardio workout.  You start on the treadmill at 3.7mph for 2 minutes.  You’ll then change the speed to 5mph for one minute.  After that minute, change it to 6mph.  After that minute, bump it up to your high speed, which I had at 8mph.  You’ll then drop down back to 5 after you’re done with the minute at 8mph.  You’ll continue this cycle and do it 9 times.

Feel free to change up the speeds to your liking.  I wanted 3 speeds (easy, medium and hard).  For me, 5 is a light jog, 6 is a medium run and 8 is a a hard run that I can complete for 1 minute intervals.
