New Clutch Sneakers

There’s nothing better than coming home from work to a big box waiting for you outside your house, right?!  ESPECIALLY when you see it’s from PUMA and they want you to try out their latest kicks!

They are the BioWeb Elite high-rise shoes.  I got them in the Curacao/Jasmine color.  Super cute!

Gosh I’m such a workout shoe FANATIC.  I LOVE new “sneakers” as I call them 🙂  (That’s the tiny bit of East Coast I have in me from being born in New York I guess).

So, what better way to test out my new kicks than to do some sprints for my Day 5 Workout on the Clutch Cut plan.

I set my handy interval timer to my Clutch cut progam and hit the pavement.

My neighborhood is amazing to run around.  The roads are wide, there isn’t much traffic and it’s just very peaceful!

It was hot hot hot though!!! The humidity level was high and it was about 87 degrees but felt like 100.  After my first sprint, I felt sweat start to drip down my face.  I knew it was going to be a tough one.

The workout today was the same as Day 2.

Walk/Recover 60 seconds
Jog 30 seconds
Sprint 60 seconds

Repeat cycle 10 times

By the end of my 10 cycles, I had burned 287 calories and probably lost 20 lbs of sweat in the process 😉

I was still a little far from my house so I walk/jogged the rest of the way home.

I’m proud of myself for getting outside and completing this workout today.  To be honest, all I wanted to do was sit inside in my air conditioning and be lazy.  It’s amazing what a new pair of shoes or outfit can do to get me motivated!!

I was just rockin’ out in Puma gear today!  This is a hat I bought for my boyfriend for Christmas but kinda stole it since I love it so much.  OOPS! #IndianGiver

So anyways, my new Puma BioWeb shoes were really comfortable for the first time wearing them.  Sometimes It takes me a while to break shoes in before they feel like they fit my feet, but these fit really well.

Since these are “high rise” shoes, they come a bit higher in the back above your heel.  Next time I wear them, I’m going to make sure not to wear super low socks.  I’ll be sure to wear socks that are a little higher because they did rub my heel a little bit.  That was definitely not a deal breaker for me though, just a note to myself for next time.

I can see myself logging a LOT of miles in these new shoes.  Thanks again Puma!!!
